River + Fir

All vacations must come to an end

Twelve glorious days of fall where I did not have to be at work.

I never completely caught up on the dishes. I did make good food. I started a twenty-one day cleanse – but before that I had the best hot cocoa ever.

I’ve hunted for mushrooms and shellfish. There have been dog walks and volleyball games and tours. Drives and forests and sand and river.

There have been old friends and new traditions. Began some new projects and finished some others.

There’s been lots of candles and tea and spiders. There has been rain and wind and night. The moon has cycled. The sun has risen and set.

Today – I’ll do laundry and vacuum and shop and finish the dishes. Like any normal Sunday. Thankful and feeling refreshed.
